  Moore Park

Moore Park was developed in the 1890s by John T. Moore. His vision was to create a wealthy neighbourhood that was close to downtown, yet surrounded by nature. To entice homeowners he over saw the construction of the Belt Line Railway, but unfortunately due to the Depression the development of Moore Park wasn't completed until the 1930s.

Most Moore Park houses are English cottage, Georgian, and Tudor-style built between 1908 and 1930. Predominantly homes are detached with a centre hall layout. Lot sizes are usually large and those on the outer streets back onto the ravines that border the neighbourhood.

Most of the houses share a mutual driveway, but because the streets are so wide, and the lots so large additional parking is not an issue.
